1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and edrink Private Company (“edrink”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They govern your use of the edrink website (www.edrink.gr), the edrink mobile app, and any related services we provide (together, the “Platform”).
By creating an edrink account, making a reservation, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use edrink.
These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which describe how we handle your personal data.
edrink is a private company registered in Greece:
- Registered office: 11–13 Aristotelous Street, Athens, Greece, P.C. 10432
- Tax ID (ΑΦΜ): 802281720
- GEMI Number: 173565201000
- Contact: support@edrink.gr
2. What edrink does
edrink is a reservation platform. It allows you to:
- Discover restaurants, bars, wineries, and similar venues
- Make and manage reservations at those venues
- Pay any required reservation deposits or prepayments
- Receive booking confirmations, reminders, and updates
- From time to time, take advantage of optional offers, discounts, or promotions made available by venues or by edrink
3. Eligibility and your account
3.1 Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use edrink. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. Many venues on edrink serve alcohol, and Greek law requires you to be of legal drinking age.
edrink does not actively verify the age of users and relies on your self-declaration. The edrink mobile app is rated 18+ on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. If we discover that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the associated personal data, in line with our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Creating an account
To make reservations, you’ll need to create an edrink account. You can sign up using:
- An email address and password
- Apple Sign-In
- Google Sign-In
- Facebook Login
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You agree to keep your account information updated.
3.3 Account security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password and account credentials confidential
- All activity that takes place under your account
- Notifying us immediately at support@edrink.gr if you suspect unauthorised access
Do not share your account with anyone else. Each user must have their own account.
3.4 One account per person
You may only have one edrink account. Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions, abuse offers, or manipulate the platform is grounds for suspension or termination of all your accounts.
4. Making and managing reservations
4.1 Reservation contract
When you make a reservation through edrink, you create a direct contractual relationship with the venue you booked. edrink transmits the reservation to the venue but is not a party to that contract. The venue is responsible for honouring the reservation and providing the service.
4.2 Reservation details
Each reservation specifies:
- Date and time
- Party size (number of guests)
- Selected venue
- Any special requests or notes you choose to include
- Any applicable deposit, prepayment, or cancellation policy
Please double-check these details before confirming. The reservation is made for the named guest at the date, time, and party size you specify. If you arrive with a different number of people or significantly past the booked time, the venue may refuse service or refuse to honour any associated offer at its discretion.
4.3 Reservation acceptance
Reservations are subject to acceptance by the venue. If a venue does not accept your reservation within 48 hours, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. For prepaid reservations, any payment authorisation is voided in this case.
4.4 Modifying reservations
You may modify the reservation guest name, arrival time, or special notes through the edrink app or website, up until the reservation time. Changes to date, party size, or venue may require cancelling and re-booking.
4.5 Late arrival
If you arrive significantly late, the venue is not obligated to hold your reservation. By default, edrink applies a 30-minute grace period, but venues may set different grace periods at their discretion. After the grace period, the venue may release your table or apply its no-show policy.
4.6 Reservation limits
To prevent abuse and protect venues, edrink applies automated limits on the number of reservations you can make in a given period. These limits are designed to detect and prevent spam, scalping, and bad-faith use of the platform. We do not publish the specific thresholds.
5. Deposits, prepayments, and cancellations
5.1 Free reservations vs. prepaid reservations
Most reservations on edrink are free. Some venues require a deposit or prepayment to secure the booking. Whether a deposit is required, and the amount, will be clearly shown before you confirm the reservation.
5.2 How payments are processed
Prepaid reservations are processed through Stripe. Your payment goes directly to the venue’s Stripe Connected Account. edrink does not hold or transfer your funds. Your card details are entered into Stripe’s secure forms; edrink does not see or store your full card number.
Payment is typically authorised when you create the reservation and captured only when the venue accepts (or auto-accepts) the booking. If the venue does not accept within 48 hours, the authorisation is released.
5.3 Cancellation policy
Each venue sets its own cancellation policy, which is shown to you before you confirm the booking. The policy typically includes:
- A cutoff time before the reservation (e.g., “free cancellation up to 6 hours before”)
- A cancellation fee, expressed as a percentage of the prepaid amount, that applies after the cutoff
If you cancel before the cutoff: you are entitled to a refund equal to the prepaid amount minus the cancellation fee (e.g., a 50% cancellation fee means a 50% refund; a 0% cancellation fee means a full refund).
If you cancel after the cutoff or do not show up: no refund is due.
If a venue has not configured a cancellation policy, the prepaid amount is non-refundable by default.
5.4 If the venue cancels
If a venue cancels your confirmed prepaid reservation (for any reason), you are entitled to a full refund of the prepaid amount, regardless of any cancellation policy. Refunds are processed by Stripe to your original payment method.
5.5 No-shows
A reservation is treated as a no-show if you do not arrive within the venue’s grace period and have not cancelled. Repeated no-shows may result in:
- Forfeiture of any prepaid amount, in line with the venue’s cancellation policy
- Restrictions on your ability to make future reservations on edrink
- Account suspension or termination in serious or repeated cases
5.6 Disputes about charges
For any dispute about a payment, refund, or charge, please contact us first at support@edrink.gr. We will work with you and the venue to resolve the issue. You may also pursue chargebacks through your card issuer or Stripe in accordance with their terms.
6. User conduct and prohibited use
When using edrink, you agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Make false, fraudulent, or misleading reservations
- Make reservations you do not intend to honour
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the Platform without our written consent
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform
- Interfere with the operation of the Platform or attempt to circumvent security measures
- Impersonate another person, create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation, or provide false identity information
- Upload or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, infringing, or harmful
- Collect or harvest data about other users
- Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Platform without our written consent
- Encourage venues to take reservations off-platform to circumvent edrink’s policies or commissions
- Use the Platform in any way that could damage edrink, its users, partners, or reputation
We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including warnings, suspension, termination, removal of content, and legal action.
7. Reviews and user-generated content
edrink may, from time to time, allow users to leave reviews, ratings, or other feedback about venues. When you submit user-generated content:
- You confirm it is your own original content and you have the right to publish it
- You confirm it is truthful and reflects your genuine experience
- You agree it does not infringe third-party rights, contain personal data of others without consent, or violate any law
- You grant edrink a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and reproduce your content on the Platform and in our marketing materials
- You understand that edrink may, at its discretion, decline to publish, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms
You retain ownership of your content. We do not claim authorship of user reviews.
8. Promotions, offers, and loyalty programs
From time to time, edrink or participating venues may offer promotions, discounts, special offers, or loyalty rewards through the Platform.
Each promotion or offer has its own specific terms (eligibility, expiry, limits, exclusions), which will be shown when the offer is presented. Where the specific terms of an offer conflict with these general Terms, the offer’s specific terms apply for that offer only.
edrink may modify, suspend, or terminate any promotion or loyalty feature at any time, with reasonable notice for material changes that affect existing rewards or accumulated benefits. We will not retroactively cancel rewards you have already earned, except in cases of fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 edrink’s rights
The Platform — including its software, code, design, layout, graphics, logos, name, and content created by edrink — is owned by edrink and protected by Greek, EU, and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the Platform without our prior written permission, except as expressly allowed by these Terms.
9.2 Limited licence to use the Platform
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose: discovering venues, making reservations, and engaging with the features we make available. This licence ends when your account ends or when these Terms terminate.
9.3 Venue content
Logos, photos, menus, descriptions, and other content provided by venues remain the property of those venues. They are displayed on edrink with the venue’s permission.
10. Third-party services
The Platform integrates with third-party services that have their own terms and privacy practices, including:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Google — for Sign-In, Reserve with Google, Maps, and analytics
- Apple — for Sign-In and App Store distribution
- Meta (Facebook) — for Login
- Communication providers — for email, SMS, and push notifications
Your use of these services is subject to their own terms. edrink is not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services.
11. App Store additional terms
If you downloaded the edrink app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the following additional terms apply.
11.1 Apple App Store
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and edrink, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your licence to use the app is non-transferable and limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, who may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation
- edrink, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal requirements, or consumer protection claims
- edrink, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, and settlement of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of the app, and may enforce these Terms against you
11.2 Google Play Store
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, you acknowledge that Google is not responsible for the app, its content, support, or any claims relating to it. Your use of the app is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
12. Disclaimers and edrink’s responsibility
12.1 The Platform is provided “as is”
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. edrink does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
12.2 Venue services are not edrink’s responsibility
edrink is not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, legality, or availability of food, drinks, or services provided by venues
- The behaviour of venue staff or other guests
- Pricing, menu accuracy, or product descriptions provided by venues
- Refunds, chargebacks, or disputes with venues, except as expressly required by law or as we choose to assist
- Allergens, dietary restrictions, or any health-related matter — please always confirm directly with the venue
- Personal injury, property damage, or other harm arising from your visit to a venue
12.3 Information accuracy
Venue information (including hours, addresses, menus, descriptions, photos, and offers) is provided by the venues. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is current, complete, or error-free. Always check critical details directly with the venue before relying on them.
12.4 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, edrink (and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.
edrink’s total liability for any direct damages arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to edrink (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Greek consumer protection law.
12.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless edrink, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of applicable law, (c) your infringement of any third-party right, or (d) any content you submit to the Platform.
13. Suspension and termination
13.1 Termination by you
You may stop using edrink and delete your account at any time. To delete your account, follow the instructions in our Privacy Policy (Section 10) or email support@edrink.gr.
13.2 Termination by edrink
edrink may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict your access to the Platform, in the following cases:
- You materially breach these Terms or applicable law
- You engage in fraud, abuse, or harmful behaviour toward other users, venues, or edrink
- You repeatedly no-show, cancel in bad faith, or otherwise misuse the reservation system
- You provide false information or impersonate another person
- Required by law, court order, or regulator
- The Platform is being discontinued in your country or globally
Where reasonably possible and not prohibited by law, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue before terminating your account. In serious cases (fraud, abuse, security threats), we may act immediately.
13.3 Effect of termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Platform ends immediately
- Pending reservations may be cancelled (with refunds processed in line with applicable cancellation policies)
- Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply
- Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy
14. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have as a consumer under Greek law, EU law, or the law of your country of residence in the EEA. These rights apply in addition to anything in these Terms.
14.1 EU Online Dispute Resolution
If you are an EU consumer and have an issue with a contract concluded online, you have the right to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
14.2 Greek consumer protection
You may also contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή) or the General Secretariat for Consumers, in addition to or instead of the EU ODR platform.
14.3 Right of withdrawal
EU consumer law generally gives consumers a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. However, this right does not apply to reservations for services tied to a specific date or period (such as restaurant bookings) under Article 16(l) of EU Directive 2011/83. This means that once you confirm a reservation, the standard 14-day withdrawal does not apply — but the venue’s specific cancellation policy (Section 5.3) does.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, technology, legal requirements, or business operations.
For material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will give you reasonable advance notice (typically at least 15 days) by email and/or through a prominent notice in the app or on our website. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the Terms were last changed.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may stop using the Platform and delete your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of edrink after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides for a different jurisdiction in your favour.
Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory provisions of consumer law in your country of residence.
17. Other terms
17.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and edrink regarding the Platform and supersede any prior agreements.
17.2 No waiver
If we don’t enforce a provision of these Terms in a particular instance, that doesn’t mean we waive our right to enforce it later or in other situations.
17.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
17.4 Assignment
You may not transfer or assign these Terms or your account without our written consent. edrink may assign these Terms to an affiliate or successor entity (including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or restructuring), with notice to you.
17.5 Independent contractors
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and edrink, or between edrink and any venue.
17.6 Force majeure
edrink is not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, internet outages, or actions of governments or third-party providers.
